As the year winds down towards a new one and another Seahawks season picks up steam, it’ll soon be time to take stock of what 2016 bought to the chapter and what 2017 could bring and do to help boost our chapter!

With that in mind we are pleased to announce the date and some early details for the 2017 Chapter AGM.

As with the 2016 meeting, the 2017 congregation will come together at The Willoughby Arms in Kingston-Upon-Thames in London. The date is set with the blessing of the welcoming landlord, Rick as February 5th 2017.

That date may ring a bell as it is the same night as SUPERBOWL 51. Last year we did similar- hosting the AGM in the prelude to watching the NFL season’s final chapter- and it went down well with a great turnout and positive feedback of lining the two calendar events up on the same night.

The Willoughby is the venue as a sense of tradition in remembrance of our former President Ian Smith who had the pub as a ‘base’ for watching games in small and large groups in recent years and the committee all see it as our ‘spiritual home’ because of that and giving the custom to Rick and the pub on this occasion as a way of gratitude for all the hospitality!

Timings of the night will be announced in the coming weeks. As well as all the relevant information on 2017 membership and everything that will come with that small price next year.

But a few things on the order of business. The AGM is open to members only but all non-Members (and non-Seahawks fans) are welcome to join us to watch the Superbowl later in the evening if they so wish. The capacity will be capped at around 70 however on Rick’s request, with first refusal for ‘entry’  for the night going to 2017 Chapter members.

As stated above, more information will be confirmed and released in the coming weeks in the lead up to the night. But get involved in what should be a great night!
